REALationships: Strengthening Relational Intelligence in an Age of Artificial Intelligence.
Modern-day loneliness is REAL.
Isolationism caused by digital spaces, hypersensitivity to individualism, consumerism of relationships, and an increase in personal technology has caused…
… A skeptical outlook on authoritative structures, an acute criticism (and erosion) of shared community standards, the rise of mental health issues, busyness due to economic and political realities, personalization of truth, even to the point of determining that modern-day loneliness is linked to the health risks equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day,
… May I propose that quality human relationships will be the highest form of wealth in the modern-day world?
The development of soft skills, relational awareness, communication styles, and relational intelligence – the ability to contextualize information into wisdom cycles – will be pivotal in an increasingly artificial-intelligence-driven world.
The future will be human.
WHY?
Because life is DESIGNED to be relational.
Perhaps best put, then, are the words of Jesus recorded by one of his closest friends: “A new command I give you: Love one another.” (John 13:34).
Jesus’ friends would have KNOWN the SHEMA to love God and your neighbour; however, Jesus is NOT saying that here. He is saying to LOVE ALL PEOPLE because of Christ, including each other in the room - tax collectors, zealots, fishermen, business owners, and a traitor (who was NOT in the room for these words).
AND to love as Jesus loves, not in our own expression(s) of self-seeking or self-serving love, BUT as Jesus has LOVED (exemplified) to you and me is the beginning of strengthening relationships and, in essence, what it means to be human in an age of the artificial.
