FACT: The resurrection of Jesus is the most important historical even in human history. With that said, it has been surrounded by controversy as humanity tries to respond accordingly.

FACT: Interesting enough the Gospels reveal these responses. Even more so, the Gospels are the most historical reliable texts on the account of Jesus and the resurrection. The Gospels explain the four different responses to the resurrection:

1. Some considered the resurrection as a conspiracy – Matthew 28:11-15

2. Some are skeptics that a resurrection “from the dead” could occur – John 20:24-29

3. Some rejected the resurrection even though the evidence was viable – Matthew 28:11b-12; cf. 26:3-5

4. Some believed in the resurrection – Matthew 28:1-8; Mark 16:1-8, 14-18; Luke 24:1-12, 13-35; John 20:1-13
